About Bellevue Square

Bellevue Square is a major shopping center located in Bellevue, Washington, and is a central component of The Bellevue Collection along with Lincoln Square. The mall features over 200 retail stores across three floors, totaling 1,300,000 square feet of gross leasable area. It is notable for being a privately held Class A mall managed by the Kemper Development Company.
The mall originally opened on August 20, 1946, as the Bellevue Shopping Square, featuring the first suburban department store for Frederick & Nelson. Over the decades, it has evolved significantly, including a major expansion in the 1980s led by Kemper Freeman Jr. and the addition of a skybridge in 2007 connecting it to Lincoln Square.
Attracting over 23 million visitors annually, Bellevue Square is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's. The shopping center is known for high sales performance, recording over $1,000 per square foot in 2016. In recent years, the former JCPenney space was reconfigured to accommodate modern international retailers like UNIQLO and Zara.
